138th British Open-The Ailsa Championship Course, Turnberry

The 2009 British Open will begin on Thursday. This tournament is comprised of some of the worlds best golfers and this year is no exception. The field consists of notable players such as Tiger Woods, Sergio Garcia, Steve Stricker,Geoff Ogilvy, Henrick Stenson, Ian Poulter, Rory McIllory, Padraig Harrington, Martin Kaymer and Paul Casey.

With the Ailsa Course at Turnberry  playing longer and of course the infamous rough and bunkers, this year’s British Open should pose a heafty challenge for all of the golfers.
