Weaving a complex “Webb” at the Barclays
Posted on August 28th, 2009 No commentsDay 2 of the Barclays at Liberty National has brought a new leader to the table- relative unknown Webb Simpson. The 24 year old rookie, Simpson has a surprise 2 shot lead (-8) over Paul Goydos ans Steve Marino.
The second round provided some poor weather conditions. Sergio Garcia suffered the most. After being at the top of the leaderboard yesterday, he shot a 76 today dropping him several positions.
The shot of the day belonged to Lefty. He drained a 60 foot bird to keep him around for the remainder of the weekend.

Round 1 Leader at The Barclays is …
Posted on August 27th, 2009 No commentsSergio Garcia, Steve Marino and Paul Goydos are tied atop the leaderboard at Liberty National. All three men shot 65 (-6 ) for the day. Webb Simpson, Fredrik Jacobson, Heath Slocum and Charley Hoffman all finished at -5. Many other players are in the hunt to pick up some Fed Ex Cup points as well. Padriag Harrington, David Toms and Ian Poulter are just 2 shots back of the leaders. Justin Leonard and Robert Allenby are at 3 under.

2009 Wyndham Championship :2nd Round Update and Highlights
Posted on August 21st, 2009 No commentsDuring the 2nd round of the Wyndham Championship in Greensborough, North Carolina, a number of players had great scores for the day. Chris Riley and Ryan Moore both finished the day at -11. Riley shot an impressive 7 under- just 2 shots off the course record. Jeff Maggert sits at -10 currently. Several golfers including Sergio Garcia, Bill Haas and Chez Reavie are at minus 9. Watch 2nd Round Highlights >here<

Rnd.1 Highlights: ’09 Wyndham Championship
Posted on August 21st, 2009 No commentsRound 1 of the Wyndham Championship was plagued by inclement weather. There was a 4 hour rain delay. They finally got the majority of the round completed until play was suspended due to darkness. Chez Reavie and Brandt Snedeker shared the lead before play was called. They were both at -6. The remainder of round one is to be played Friday morning.

Tiger Woods “Major” Disappointment. Yang Wins PGA Championship

For the first time, Tiger Woods failed to capture a major after leading through 54 holes. Woods 14 for 14 streak came to an end when Y.E Yang won the PGA Championship. He is the Asian born player to win a major. Woods had a mediocre round on Sunday, which left the door open for Yang.

Tiger Woods Widens the Gap on Day 2 of the PGA Championship
Posted on August 15th, 2009 No commentsTiger Woods shot a 2 under 70 during the second round of the PGA Championship. He now sits at -7 and holds a commanding 4 shot lead over 5 golfers. Vijay Singh, Brendan Jones, Lucas Glover, Ross Fisher and Padraig Harrington are all at -3 trying to keep pace with Tiger.

Tiger Woods in Fine Form During the Opening Round of the PGA Championship
Posted on August 13th, 2009 No commentsTiger Woods has the lead at final major of the year after firing a 67 in the opening round. Last years champion Padraig Harrington is right in the hunt sitting just one shot back of Woods. Robert Allenby, Hunter Mahan, Matthew Goggin, Alvaro Quiros, Vijay Singh and David Toms are log jammed at -3. Paul Goydos and Lee Westwood are at 2 under along with 6 other golfers.
