Mickelson Back to Form-Tiger Captures 2nd Fed Ex Cup
Posted on September 27th, 2009 No commentsPhil Mickelson found his putting stroke this week enabling him to win the PGA Tour Championship. Mickelson shot five under(-9 overall) on Sunday. It was great to see him rounding back into form after all of the struggles he and his family have endured. Tiger Woods shot and even par round(-6 overall) to secure his second Fed Ex Cup victory. Sean O’Hair concluded the weekend at -5 while Padraig Harrington and Kenny Perry finished at -4.

Kenny Perry has a 2 shot(-6) lead going into Sunday over Tiger Woods. Sean O`Hair and Phil Mickelson are just behind at -4. Padraig Harrington and Steve Marino round out the top 5 at -3.

Tiger Shows Once Again Why he is the Best

After going into the final round with a 7 shot lead, the only question left to answer was, who will the other 29 golfers would be next week. Tiger Woods did not play as well on Sunday, but was far enough ahead that it did not matter. With his win (-19), Tiger re- established his lead in Fed Ex Cup points. He will travel to East Lake golf club to battle for Tour Championship.
JimFuryk and rookie Marc Leishman finished tied for second at -11. Sean O’Hair went -5 for the day and 10 under for the tournament while Zach Johnson rounded out he top 5 with a score of -8. Final round highlights here
