Bitter Sweet Day for Tiger Woods
Posted on December 16th, 2009 No comments
Tiger Woods was named the Athlete of the Decade by The Associated Press. He finished the voting ahead of Lance Armstrong and Roger Federer. This is quite the accomplishment. Apparently, Tiger’s personal life has no relation to his accolades on the golf course.
This announcement comes on the heels of Elin (Tiger’s Wife) planning on divorcing Woods according to various reports. After purchasing a home in Sweden earlier this week, there has been much speculation about the future of Elin and Tiger’s marriage. We will find out more in the coming days. This has to be a bitter sweet day for Woods.
Congratulations are in order, I guess?

As if Tiger Woods does not have enough problems to worry about with his seemingly endless amount of affairs, he now has has another issue to contend with. The New York Times is reporting that Woods has been linked to a Canadian doctor. The doctor is under criminal investigation for possibly providing steroids and other performance enhancing drugs to athletes.
Along with that news, several more women have come out of the wood work claiming to have had an affair with Tiger. The latest is Theresa Rogers. I have lost count now.

Tiger Woods Takes Indefinite Break from Golf to be with Family
Posted on December 12th, 2009 1 comment
On Friday, Tiger Woods announced his intention to step back from the game of golf. He (Woods) released a statement on his website saying “After much soul searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf. I need to focus my attention on being a better husband, father, and person.” Full Article
The target of major media scrutiny since the car accident and accusations of infidelity, Woods is now in the situation where his sponsors are cutting bait. Earlier in the week, Gatorade axed the Tiger brand sports drink. Gillette is also “limiting his role in our marketing”. TAG Heuer has ordered stores in Australia to remove advertising posters that featured Woods.
Despite all this, Tiger’s long standing relationships with Nike, EA Sports and AT&T will not change for the moment. Source

New Canadian Documentary “Chemerical” a Hit!
Posted on December 10th, 2009 2 commentsThe latest trend in green has hit the big screen. Independent film maker Andrew Nisker (the creator of the film Garbage) has released his second documentary called “Chemerical. This film takes a look at the toxins in everyday household items such as cleaners, body care and even cosmetics. It also challenges one family to go green. This poses some unique challenges (especially with the teenagers!) I don’t want to give too much away, but this is definitely worth watching if you get the chance.
You can follw Andrew on twitter http://twitter.com/andrewnisker and take a look at his site which includes a section for the movie Garbage and also Chemerical. You can find the site at http://chemicalnation.com/
If you like what you see, please support his film making ventures by viewing the film with family and friends or picking up a copy of the DVD’s (available on his website).
