Free Junk Food For America
Posted on February 23rd, 2010 No comments
Today is national pancake day. Ihop is celebrating by giving away free short stacks of pancakes with donations going to Children’s Miracle Network. That is about the only thing good about this promotion. Do people really feel the need to indulge in the act of consuming this concoction of white flour and and liquid sugar?

Jack in the box is also running a special promotion where you can get a free grilled sandwich with the purchase of a drink. Hmmm? Let me think about that. Diabetes and a coronary in one meal!
OK. So I am exaggerating a little bit but in case we have not noticed, people are suffering from rampant rates of obesity, diabetes, heart disease and many other health conditions which can be directly tied to food consumption.
It is time to wake up and educate ourselves on proper eating and nutritional habits. Don’t give in to the temptation of free because you get what you pay for, and maybe even more than you bargain for.
