FrankenFish Not Approved By FDA-(For Now)

The FDA has decided that Genetically Modified salmon is not safe for human consumption. This decision comes after 2 days of hearings by an 11 member panel of the FDA.

The genetically altered salmon contains growth hormone that allows the fish to grow at approximately twice the rate of normal salmon. The fish is marketed under the name AquAdvantage.

There has been little to no study done on this type of “food” product. No one is quite sure of the ramifications for long term human health.

Food Giants Monsanto and Dole Collaborate to Bring More GMO to your table

Monsanto and Dole have joined forces to “engineer” more foods. Monsanto is well recognized as being a leader in the field of genetic enhanced foods and chemical production. Dole is a huge food corporation that owns many  popular food brands. Together they will control much of the food supply and what we put in our mouths. This could be a very dangerous situation.
