Villegas Crushes the Field to Win the 2010 Honda Classic

The question going into Sunday was not if Camilo Villegas would win, but by how much. Villegas ended up winning by 5 strokes (-13). His closest rival was Anthony Kim, who posted a final round of 67 (-8 overall). Justin Rose ended up 7 under for the tournament while Paul Casey and Vijay Singh were tied at 6 under.

Camilo Villegas Extends His Lead at the Honda Classic

Camilo Villegas had another good round on Saturday at the Honda Classic. He carded a 67 (-11 overall) to take a three shot lead over Nathan Green and Vijay Singh. George McNeill and Matt Every sit tied for fourth at -6. Michael Connell and Anthony Kim round are both at 5 under respectively.

Round 2 Summary and Highlights-2010 Honda Classic

Camilo Villegas and Anthony Kim are tied for the 36 hole lead at the 2010 Honda Classic. Villegas posted his 2nd consecutive round of 66, while Kim tied a course record 64. They are both at 8 under.
Vijay Singh is one shot off the pace (-7) and Jerry Kelly is in hot pursuit at-6. Canadian Mike Weir also had a great round. He also fired a 64 on Friday that keep him in striking distance at -5. Matt Every, Graeme McDowell, Chez Reavie and Nathan Green are all at 5 under as well.

Hunter Mahan Wins W M Phoenix Open 2010

Hunter Mahan has won the 2010 W M Phoenix Open. Mahan shot a 6 under 65 to edge out rookie Rickie Fowler by one shot. Y.E Yang also fired a 65 on the final day to put himself in third position at -14. Matthew Goggin, Chris Couch and Charles Howell III all were tied at 13 under.
Camilo Villegas and Scott Peircy fell out of contention on Sunday with rounds of 71 (Even) and 73 (+2) respectively.

A number of golfers played well on Saturday. Brandt Snedeker shot a 5 under 66 to put him in the lead at -14. That is good enough for a 1 shot lead over Scott Piercy. Piercy carded a 6 under 65 on Saturday. Matt Every and Rickie Fowler are tied at 12 under while Camilo Villegas fell to 5 place with an even par round.
