Weaving a complex “Webb” at the Barclays

Day 2 of the Barclays at Liberty National has brought a new leader to the table- relative unknown Webb Simpson. The 24 year old rookie, Simpson has a surprise 2 shot lead (-8) over Paul Goydos ans Steve Marino.

The second round provided some poor weather conditions. Sergio Garcia suffered the most. After being at the top of the leaderboard yesterday, he shot a 76 today dropping him several positions.

The shot of the day belonged to Lefty. He drained a 60 foot bird to keep him around for the remainder of the weekend.

Round 1 Leader at The Barclays is …

Sergio  Garcia, Steve Marino and Paul Goydos are tied atop the leaderboard at Liberty National. All three men shot 65 (-6 ) for the day. Webb Simpson, Fredrik Jacobson, Heath Slocum and Charley Hoffman all finished at -5. Many other players are in the hunt to pick up some Fed Ex Cup points as well. Padriag Harrington, David Toms and Ian Poulter are just 2 shots back of the leaders. Justin Leonard and Robert Allenby are at 3 under.
